1st match: Team A scored 62. Team B chased down the target in 6.1 overs without any hiccups.
Highlights:
- Team A boasted of a good batting line up and on the other hand Team B had good bowlers led by Imtiaz-the man in form
- We had to change the ground as the original Chandragupta Maurya ground was occupied with some function. The pitch at oxford was not fit to play with cracks and a line dry stream went throught the middle of the pitch
- Team A started cautiously but Team B bowlers made full use of the pitch. Imtiaz, Buland, Rehan and Yuvraj bowled good line and length to each batsman and hence they were able to restrict Team A to only 62.
- Team A's batsman struggled throughout. A small blistering knocking by the new captain Suraj could only help the team reach 62
- Faisal from Team B destroyed the bowling of Team A from the word go. He was in different dimension altogether. Diving while fielding, hitting sixes were boundaries were difficult, he was in different mode. His knock along with a few clean hit by Reyaz towards the end helped Team B achieve the target in only 6.1 overs
2nd match: Team A scored only 29. Team B was not in a hurry, nevertheless they chased the target again in the 7th over.
Highlights
- Stupendous bowling performance by Imtiaz. In an over he took the wicket of Vicky, Iqbal and Afaque to break the backbone of Team A batting line up. He was ably supported by Buland-the new captain in form
- An upside down batting line up was a major flop for Team A. With Tanzeel coming as the last man, the game was already over. He along with Suraj took the team to 29 from 14-15 when direct hit from deep point created a close run out of Suraj and hence ended a miserable batting of Team A
- As mentioned earlier Team B was not in hurry hence they took their own sweet time to conquer the small target of 30 and hence owning the day completely.
- Rehan batted through the inning and Reyaz once again ended the inning with six over deep midwicket boundary
It's 4 off 4 for Bualnd... Congratulations to him.... Hard luck to Suraj. He will definitely want to improve. The coming few weeks will be interesting to watch....
