September 6, 2014

Team A: Tanzeel(c), Shaimir, Tausif, Rehan, Vicky, Debayan, Buland, Farooq, Suraj
Team B: Reyaz(c), Kashif, Sumit, Rakib, Imtiaz, Mehran, Iqbal, Afaque, Afsal

It was 9 a side after a very long time hence decided to play 15 overs a match

1st match: Team B decided to bat first and could only score 116, their batsman failing to bat until the end of 15th over got out in 14.3. Important contributions were from Imtiaz, Sumit, Iqbal and Reyaz. From team B, Rehan making way into the team after a very long time bowled good 3 overs, barely giving runs picking wickets regularly. He was ably assisted by Buland, Debayan and Farooq.Team A started to chase and faltered initially. Superb overs by Mehran and Afsal kept questioning top order batsman. Afsal took a divng catch to end Shaimir's short stay at the crease and they were 24/3 in 4 overs and another wicket could have ended their chase but Rehan and Tanzeel ensured that no more set backs would happen until only the required run remaining was 7 runs. And they coasted to victory with more than 4 overs to spare.

2nd match: The similar trend followed in this match too. Team B set up the target of 105 and Team A successfully chased the target in 14th over. However there heated and thrilling moments. Team B did well to keep taking wickets of Team A but they failed to stop the flow of runs. At one point Team A were 44/4 in 4 overs. Rehan and Buland were in crease and Shaimir and Farooq were to follow. Rehan and Buland did well to keep Team A's chances alive. Rehan feel to a superb yorker by Afsal when the equation was 25 off 4 overs. Shaimir came and went without troubling the scorees much. All was left for Bualnd and Farooq to do. 21 off 3 overs was the requirement, Farooq hit a blinder six and along with few extras Rakib's over yielded 18 runs. All was cakewalk now for the last wicket and they ensured nothing opposite happens.

So it was two victories in a row Team A, a good day indeed.
